Rebecca is a German-language musical based on the 1938 novel of the same name by Daphne du Maurier. It was written by Michael Kunze (book and lyrics) and Sylvester Levay (music), the authors of the musicals Elisabeth, Mozart! and Marie Antoinette.

Maxim 并不喜欢自己的第一任妻子 Rebecca，因为她当着他的面找情夫。其中一个还是 Rebecca 的表弟。Rebecca 美丽无比，男人趋之若鹜，而她当男人为玩物从不真心对待。最害怕的就是生病，然而该来的终究还是来了。她用化名让医生检查身体，她生病了，是癌症。于是，她设计陷害自己的丈夫 Maxim，让他人以为自己被丈夫谋杀。
Mrs. Danvers 其实是 Rebecca 的知己，但最后她却发现自己也被 Rebecca 欺骗。于是，绝望中的 Mrs. Danvers 穿着 Rebecca 的衣服放火烧了 Manderley 庄园。
Mrs. Danvers 唱的这首《ich hör dich singen》很震撼。
